Winter Seminar #1 – Coping With a New AIS Installation; Weather From NWS

CCYC | 9 am - Noon

There will be 2 sessions making up our 3-hour seminar. One session will be a discussion of the Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac's requirement, starting this year, that competitors carry AIS send and receive. What products are available?  What modifications to your boat may be necessary? Learn from the experts.

The other session will consist of a talk by a weather forecaster from NWS Chicago. Let's talk about weather for racers in Chicago and how you can make your own predictions.

As usual, free coffee and doughnuts. Plenty of free street parking.
